HDR Photography

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and is a technique used to get the maximum detail in areas of shadow and highlight in a high contrast scene.

Blending or fusing different exposures of the same scene allows us to capture detail that is ordinarily lost in a single shot. Over-exposure enhances detail in shadows and under-exposure allows detail in highlight.

PanoramaStudio has perfected this technique and applies it to 360º panoramas where conditions are suited. Often with 'hyper-real' results.

HDR can also be used artistically, producing some very dramatic effects. Examples can also be found in the Photographic Portfolio

This shot involved challenging lighting conditions. Below you can see the five exposures compared with the final result.
